A Panchayat is a collective body of elected public representatives entrusted with carrying out the administrative functions of Panchayati Raj institutions. It is the key committee responsible for implementing decisions related to development and public welfare, and for managing day-to-day administration.The main components of the Block Panchayat are as follows:PresidentThe head of the Panchayat.
